Sour Cream Rhubarb Squares

Ingredients

1/2 cup of sugar

1 tbsp. of butter

1 1/2 cups of packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. of soda

1 1/2 cups of rhubarb

1 cup of sour cream

1/2 cup of nuts

1 tsp. of cinnamon

1/2 cup of shortening

2 cups of flour

1/2 tsp. of salt

 

Grease and flour pan. Mix sugar, nuts, melted butter and cinnamon until crumbly (topping)

Cream brown sugar, shortening and egg.

Add the flour, soda and salt to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.

Stir in rhubarb.

Pour in pan and put topping on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
