2/3 cup of poppy seed
1 cup of milk
2/3 cup of butter
1 1/2 cup of sugar
2 cups of flour
2 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla
4 egg whites
*Soak poppy seed in 3/4 cup of milk. Cream butter adding sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and poppy seed mixture. Add flour, baking powder, salt and remaining milk. Beat 4 egg whites ’til soft peaks and fold into the batter. Bake in a 9×13 pan for 30-35 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
