1 lb. of shredded cabbage, 1/8 cup of chopped onion
2 tbls. of sugar, 2 tbls. of vinegar, 1/4 cup of oil
1 pkg. of ramen oriental or chicken flavored noodles
1/2 cup of sliced or chopped almonds
1/3 cup of melted butter
*Combine: cabbage, onions, sugar, vinegar and oil. Let set for 4 hours in refrigerator. Melt butter on low heat, add seasoning packet from ramen noodles and the noodles, break into small pieces, add almonds and brown together (watch carefully)
Just before serving, add the browned mixture to the cabbage salad. Serves 6 people.
