The Holdingford Lioness Club have combined efforts with the City of Holdingford to sponsor the 3rd annual Holdingford Cares Day on Saturday, May 5th from 9am to 12pm.

The purpose of the event is to bring the community together to accomplish clean-up needs around the city of Holdingford and the Lioness Club will serve lunch at the city center for volunteers. If you have a need (lawn raking, flower garden clean up, small paint jobs, window washing, etc.) please contact the city at 746-2966 or Helping Hands 746-9960 with your request.

Volunteers meet at the Holdingford Wobegon trail head at 9am.

Items accepted at no charge include: lawn chairs, bikes, doors and windows, swing sets, carpet and padding, humidifiers, lawn mowers, toilets, sinks, grills, small TV’s, computers, monitors, printers, and electrical appliances. A full list is available at City Hall. There is a charge for some items.

Tires at $2/small (car) and $5/large (truck) will be accepted, no tractor tires. Other items accepted at a charge include all sizes of mattresses, box springs, couches, sofa chairs, sectionals and recliners, fiberglass tubs, console TV’s and TV’s over 36″
