Chocolate Cupcakes

1 box of Devils Food cake mix

3 eggs

1/2 cup of vegetable oil

3/4 cup of sour cream

3/4 cup of buttermilk

1 tsp. of vanilla extract

crushed candy canes or Andes peppermint crunch baking chips


Let’s Cook!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line muffin pan with cupcake liners. Using a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, sour cream, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full. Bake 15-20 minutes or until tester insertered comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool at least 20-25 minutes before frosting. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the top of the frosted cupcakes.
