Carmel French Roll Toast

**In a heavy kettle, melt……….this is your topping even though it’s on the bottom to start with!

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/3 cup of whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon of corn syrup

**Cook this mixture over medium heat stirring constantly until it is smooth. DO NOT BOIL!!! Spread this topping out evenly in a 9 x 13 inch glass pan.

  • Mix 3 eggs
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt

**Beat this mixture together……

**Place 1 layer of bread over the topping in the pan. Pour ½ of the egg mixture over the first layer of bread. Place a second layer of bread in the pan and pour the remaining egg mixture over the second layer.

**Cover and Refrigerate overnight. Bake 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.
