Carmel Apple Cake

7 apples – peeled & diced

3/4 cup of melted butter

1 cup of brown sugar

1 tsp. of cinnamon

1/4 tsp. of salt

1 cake mix – yellow or white

1 egg

1 cup of apple juice

1 cup of salad oil

Pecans or Walnuts – crushed on top if desired…

 

*In a 9×13 pan, spray with non-stick spray and add melted butter and alternate apples and brown sugar mixture like you do for an apple pie. Blend together the cake mix, egg, apple juice and salad oil – like you do for making a cake. Pour cake mixture over apples and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to an hour or until golden brown.

*Hint: great with vanilla ice cream!
