- The 3rd Annual Gopher Football Fishing Classic is Friday night, June 1, and Saturday, June 2 in Paynesville.
- Bug-Bee Hive Resort, Lodge and Retreat Center, on the north shore of Lake Koronis, is the headquarters for this family-friendly event.
- The event promises lots of fish stories and football stories from former players, fans and current Golden Gopher coaching staff.
- Friday night, June 1 — Join fellow Gopher Football fans and former players for a relaxing evening on the shores of Lake Koronis. Check-in and social hour begin at 4:30pm. Food is served from 4:45pm – 6:45 pm. The program featuring former Golden Gopher Football players is at 7:00pm. Gig Noonan Musical Entertainment will perform following the program and up until 10 pm. The price is $20 for adults.
- All inclusive fishing package Saturday, June 2 — cost is $100 per person
Friday night Meet & Greet Tailgate Party, program and music. Festivities begin at 4:30 pm.
Saturday morning breakfast, four-hour fishing contest, and Luncheon Awards Program. Breakfast begins at 8:00 am; the fishing contest on Lake Koronis
is from 10 a – 2 p; the Luncheon awards program begins at 2:15 pm. - Anglers must provide their own boat, fishing gear, life jacket, and a valid Minnesota fishing license.
- The Gopher Football Fishing Classic is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Goal Line Club in conjunction with the Central Lakes Bass Anglers.
